We are ABCAP (Accredited Board for Counsellors and Psychotherapists), an independent body that provides accreditation for all types of therapists.

Therapists can seek accreditation from us by joining as members, but must, as a minimum, satisfy the requirements of our student membership.

As a therapist, you will enjoy several benefits of being an ABCAP member, one of which is the ability to advertise your services in our directory. In fact, we only list therapists who are registered ABCAP members.
A listing in the directory is included in the membership cost and gives you a platform to advertise your business to potential clients. Once you are listed, you are able to receive emails from clients to arrange sessions. Again, this service is included as standard at all levels of membership.
The ABCAP board consists of counselling professionals who have combined decades of experience practising in private and public services.
The purpose of the board is to guide the mission and values of ABCAP and to consult on industry regulation and best practises.
