In my early 20s, I graduated from art college in the UK and set off on a journey through life, which led me through most job sectors anyone can think of, along with the cast of characters that goes with that territory. In my early 30s, I realised that I needed to make some solid plans and went back into education and training. First, this involved training in a range of holistic and wellness therapies, which gave me the confidence to stretch my wings further. I had achieved a goal with not much more than an idea and a willingness to do what it took to achieve it. Fast-forward to today, and I have two postgraduate degrees behind me, a freelance career that gives me the flexibility to show up for my family, and more recently, training in counselling and psychotherapy, so I can show up for others as they navigate their own paths. In the process, I have discovered that difficult is not the same as impossible, and the difficult bits are more than worth it.
