Hello, my name is Peter. I hold a B.Sc. in sociology and a certificate in health and mental well-being, as well as a level 4 diploma in counselling and CBT.
I am passionate about improving the well-being of all people. I believe well-being comes in many forms. It includes physical, mental, and social well-being.
When one is in good health, the body’s systems and processes will function optimally. This is not only because you don't have a disease but also because you're getting enough exercise, eating right, and getting enough rest. This informs my interest in psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is an applicable professional technique that can work with anyone, regardless of their background, race, or culture. The ethical and legal framework outlined in the therapy contract gives room for more professional relationships during therapy sessions.
I believe that health and well-being are personal and unique. What is good for one person may not be good for another. That’s why I need to assess each person’s unique needs and focus on self-care in order to enhance their health and well-being.
I can work with anyone, regardless of their background, by applying my chosen therapeutic technique.
