About Me:
I am Jayne, and after working in the NHS for almost 25 years, I took a career break to spend more time with my young family and to be more present at a time when I felt I was needed the most. My journey to become a Counsellor came on the back of some tragic circumstances in my life and I felt I wanted to help others who at times may need to talk to someone and share their concerns. A problem shared and all that…..
My Mission:
My main mission in life is to help others. I have had points in my life when I have needed help and support and I know from a personal level the difference having someone to confide in and talk through your feelings really helps to get through the difficult times. I also know that it can be easier to talk to someone who is not involved in your life, does not know the individuals involved and has a complete objective view on what you are going through. We don’t want to worry our family and friends with how we are feeling so if that is you then I am here for you to talk to, I will listen, I will not judge, but be a person you can confide in and trust.
Why Choose Me?
I understand that taking the first steps towards counselling takes an enormous amount of courage and I am here to help you do just that, find the courage to open up and talk about any concerns you may have. After completing my Level 5 Counselling Diploma, I am wanting to grow and develop my counselling knowledge and skills and ultimately, I want to help. I am registered with ABCAP (Accredited Board for Counsellors & Psychotherapists), I follow professional standards at all times and am committed to continual professional develop in my counselling business.
Areas I can help with:
What to expect at our first session:
The sessions will really be tailored around what you want to talk through, we will talk about any realistic aims you have moving forward and we will make a plan together of how I can help support you to get to your ultimate aim.
Remember:
You have made the first step and wherever you are on your health and wellbeing journey, remember change is possible and you have to believe in yourself. I know this from personal experience and I also believe that everyone deserves to be happy, and this is what I want for you.
